Hey, I'm setting up a website for miniature schnauzer owners to chat about their dogs, share tips and find groomers/breeders.

I'd love to include some of your pics (with your permission!) and, similarly, I'd love to send you some of my mini schnauzer who is named Archie.

I've also just sent your blog a shout out on my twitter feed, @mini_schnauzer

Mail me if you're interested in a link swap and a picture swap once my site is live!

From Email Sent 12/5/08...

Hi Kelly,

Kaiser is about 13 pounds now. It actually wasn't too difficult traveling with him. We did give him a sedative from our vet which made him very calm and sleepy.

His soft crate was standard air plane size of 12x12x18 and he fit in their okay. Just enough room to turn around in it. It was a 4 hour long flight and he slept through most of the flight.

It is quite expensive to travel though, $150 each way on Delta. Going through security is fairly easy and we put Kaiser in the crate right before boarding.

Let me know if you have any other questions. Good luck with your travels.

Hello-

I saw your post about traveling with your mini. How big is he? I just wanted to see how your experience flying with him was and what sized carrier you had. Ours is 15 lbs and we intend on flying with him in March for the first time. Any advice or tips you can give me would be great. Fantastic name by the way, ours is named Schnitzel.

Thanks,

Kelly
